How long have you been holding your event?
2011 was our 10th anniversary and we are continuing into our second decade!

How has your event grown over the years?
Our first fundraiser was in the home of one of our Bunco members.  Every year, more people wanted to attend, so each year we hosted the fundraiser at a larger facility. In the last few years, we have been able to accommodate over 200 people

Do you set fundraising goals for each successive event?
We don’t set any goals, we just work hard throughout the year for the fundraiser and hope that at the end of the evening, it has been as successful as in years past..

How much have you raised to date?
Over $80,000.

What motivates you to organize Bunco For Breast Cancer events?
Being a breast cancer survivor myself, in addition to other women in our group who know breast cancer survivors, provides strong motivation each year to have a bigger and better fundraiser.

Do you have a personal connection to the cause?
Yes, I am a breast cancer survivor of almost 10 years.

Do you have any words of wisdom for first-time event organizers? 
Have fun as you are planning your event.  Don’t sweat the small stuff and remember the end result is what really matters.

To what extent does The Breast Cancer Research Foundation figure in your decision to hold a Bunco For Breast Cancer event? 
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is continually working towards their goal to find a cure for breast cancer. For this reason we will do our part by having our fundraiser each year, knowing that whatever we can raise is going towards breast cancer research. We hope that in the future there will be cure for breast cancer.
